Seymour Braun


Founding Partner

Seymour Braun is the founding partner of Braun & Co., which he established in 1988. With nearly four decades of experience, Seymour focuses his practice on international tax and estate planning, advising high-net-worth individuals and families with global wealth on the U.S. tax implications of their investments.

A trusted advisor to clients around the world, Seymour brings a unique vision to each engagement, combining a deep understanding of complex cross-border tax matters with practical solutions tailored to his clients’ specific needs. Over the years, he has built an extensive network of professional contacts in key jurisdictions, including Israel, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Austria, Italy, Mexico, and the Netherlands.

Seymour earned his LLB from the University of Toronto in 1978 and his LLM in Taxation from New York University in 1984. He is admitted to the New York State Bar.

Outside of his legal work, Seymour has a keen interest in art, especially the 16th & 17th century Golden Age of Dutch Painting, as well as the works of the Old Masters of the European Renaissance period.

Mordechai Braun

Attorney, Junior Partner at Braun & Co.

Mordechai Braun is an attorney and junior partner at Braun & Co., where he focuses on international tax law, with a particular emphasis on inbound transactions. He advises high-net-worth individuals, families, and foreign investors seeking to structure their U.S. investments in a legal and tax-efficient manner. His practice spans both income tax and estate tax matters, and in recent years has expanded to include trusts and estates, including the drafting of wills and complex trust structures.

A graduate of Rutgers Newark School of Law, Mordechai began practicing in 2018 and brings a sharp, detail-oriented approach to solving complex cross-border tax issues. He works closely with clients to understand their goals in plain language, ensuring they receive practical solutions grounded in clarity and legal precision. 

As part of a boutique firm, Mordechai believes in a hands-on, discreet, and responsive approach to client service. Every matter is handled directly by either himself or his father, the firm’s founding partner — ensuring each client benefits from experienced, professional counsel. Efficiency, discretion, and strategic thinking define his practice.
